Naturalism and idealism are balanced in this superbly modeled
sculpture-one of the finest realizations of the female form in Nepali
bronzes. Uma's headdress, necklace, girdle, and armbands are set with
faux turquoise and amber stones. The master mold for the Museum's
reproduction was taken directly from the 9th-10th century Nepalese
original. Produced in cooperation with The Cleveland Museum of Art.
